The Vela Microboards Australia membership structure has four stages:

     

Microboard Allies are people who have registered their interest in being kept up to date with the work of Vela Microboards Australia. Join this growing group and receive electronic advice of events & updates on this website.

$50 per year for individuals

$250 per year for organisations

VMA Allies are entitled to a discount on events, including an annual VMA update event.

To become a VMA Ally, contact us through this website or download the individual or corporate membership form.

  

It is likely that a third group of new individuals and families will be invited to become Stage 2 members towards the end of the first quarter in 2010. Please indicate when you register as a VMA Ally if you are interested in being part of this group. VMA will discuss with you the cost of stage 2-4 membership and options for working with service providers to cover this cost. We will also discuss how you can become part of the VMA community and be provided with support for establishing your microboard, through a range of individualised strategies.  The arrow below illustrates elements of the Stage 2 process.

VMA is a community of learning and practice.  Establishing a microboard is an individualised and challenging process.  It is expected that stage 2-4 members both receive and offer mutual support in the learning associated with establishing a microboard.  The arrow below illustrates a variety of ways to contribute.  The contribution of stage 2-4 members to strengthening VMA as a principle-based organisation is also vital.

VMA provides support to established microboards to continue developing sustainability and capacity in response to the self-determination of the person at the centre of the microboard.
